Alignment Instruction With Manual Adjustments - Alignment cues encourage people to focus their minds on a particular body part, the cues teach them how to move it within their own range of motion, place it and breathe into it, how to feel it if it is tight, tense or restricted in some way. This then opens the student up to the deeper awareness of their body and the myriad of possibilities, and realities, of less pain and discomfort and more freedom, ease and range of movement where perhaps they were unaware of anything lacking in the first place.

Yoga Personalized To Your Body Type - Get to learn why you are the way you are through the lens of Ayurveda, an ancient art of healing that has been practiced for over 5,000 years. We’ll discover your dosha (the physical, emotional, and mental characteristics that make up your unique mind-body type), and we’ll apply this knowledge to your yoga practice. You will walk away with a deeper sense of understanding and a better idea of how to find your balance on and off your mat based on many aspects of you, your life, and your needs.

Breathing Techniques & Meditation - Yoga breathing and meditation, especially when practiced together, make us feel vibrant and alive, yet calm, relaxed, and peaceful at the same time. How does it work? Focusing on our breath activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping us let go of the stress we experience in our daily lives and returning us to our natural state of calm. The moment we begin to observe our breath, it naturally begins to slow down and deepen. We can enhance this process with yoga breathing techniques—consciously slowing and lengthening the breath

De-Stress, Rejuvenate, Strengthen, & Build Stamina - Practicing yoga allows for the creation strength, stamina, flexibility, balance and awareness of the body and mind. This helps to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect, enabling you reach a more balanced self through movement and breath. Yoga also has some fantastic therapeutic qualities to help prevent and recover from pain and discomfort or injury in the body.

Ancient Spiritual Practice For Mind-Body Centering - Since the body and mind are inextricably connected, every time we have a thought, we set off a cascade of cellular reactions in our nervous system that influence all the molecules in our body. Our cells are constantly observing our thoughts and being changed by them which makes in turn affects the body. Yoga is based on the view that our thoughts, choices, and experiences influence our tendency to be at ease or to be at dis-ease. The relationship between the mind and body is complex, and sometimes things happen at a physical level in our bodies that are caused by the state of the mind. Through balance of mind and body we have amazing potential to heal and transform ourselves through our thoughts, perceptions, and choices.
Herbal & Nutritional Consultation - Next to breathing, eating is our most vital bodily function. To create a healthy body and mind, our food must be nourishing, and ideal nutrition comes from consuming a variety of foods that are appropriately sourced and prepared as well as eaten with awareness. Herbs, supplements, and holistic nutrition also work with the body’s energy systems, and are quite different from prescription drugs. We must recognize that we are all individuals, but we all need the same nutrients and using yoga with herbal nutrtion to help create a positive attitude can go a long way toward true healing for anyone. We can find health through a nutritional model and the holistic approach to well-being by looking at the whole person, not just the physical symptoms one may experience. As a whole, these aspects lead us to the correct treatment for whatever patterns of disharmony exist through the use of healthy natural foods and herbal nutrition.

Yoga does more than burn calories and tone muscles. It's a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation or relaxation. There are more than 100 different forms of yoga. Some are fast-paced and intense. Others are gentle and relaxing.

Examples of different yoga forms include:

Hatha. The form most often associated with yoga, it combines a series of basic movements with breathing.
Vinyasa. A series of poses that flow smoothly into one another.
Power. A faster, higher-intensity practice that builds muscle.
Ashtanga. A series of poses, combined with a special breathing technique.
Bikram. Also known as "hot yoga," it's a series of 26 challenging poses performed in a room heated to a high temperature.
Iyengar. A type of yoga that uses props like blocks, straps, and chairs to help you move your body into the proper alignment.
